Fat Cat accounts are designed just for kids! When you open your account, you get a really cool goody bag that includes a Fat Cat t-shirt, Passbook, notepad, ruler, stickers and a growth chart! How cool is that? You get fun stuff just for opening your account!

Your Passbook is really important because that is where you will keep track of the money in your Fat Cat account. There are places to write deposits, withdrawals and dividends earned. Not sure what those words mean? A deposit is when you put money in your account. A withdrawal is when you take money out of your account. Dividends are money earned for having money in your account. The more money that you have in your Fat Cat account, the more dividends you will earn!

Another cool thing you can do is save up coins and bring them to a Credit Union branch. At the branch, there is a Fat Cat coin sorter that will count all of your coins for you. When the sorter finishes counting the coins, it prints the total on a piece of paper. That piece of paper, or receipt, can be given to a teller and he or she will deposit that amount of money to your Fat Cat account. Pretty cool, huh?
