Group Term Life Insurance
As a parent, it’s natural for you to worry about your children and make decisions that will safeguard their futures. To help you protect your family’s financial well-being, State Employees’ Credit Union has partnered with SECU Life Insurance Company (SECU Life) to offer FAT CAT account holders $1,000 of group term life insurance coverage at no cost to you. Other features of this coverage include:
- When you open a new FAT CAT account you can increase this coverage to $10,000 for only $18.00 per year1
- When your child reaches age 20, they can convert this coverage to a $10,000 whole life insurance policy through SECU Life regardless of health2
- To simplify and expedite the claims process, there are no beneficiary designations and all claim proceeds are made payable to the estate of the FAT CAT account holder
